We had to go NC with my Narcissistic parents and things have never felt better. It is a freeing feeling. It isn't always the easiest thing to do, especially if they live nearby, but we were lucky in that we had moved a fair distance away. We tried it once when we lived in the same town, but the constant calls, drive-bys and fear of running into them while we were at the grocery store was to much. It isn't easy, but if you are able, going NC is the best cure.
ReplyDeleteI understand tha "NC" is probably the best way to go, but I just could not do it. My son is the Narcissistic person in my life. In fact, when I started to call him to account consistently, it was him who went "NC".
